The Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture is sponsoring the Third Annual  Boot Scoot and Wild Hog Fest with the purpose of highlighting the many attractions of Fisher County and expanding the Chamber members ability to provide benefits to the county in the future.

Fisher County offers terrific deer, dove, wild hog, and wild turkey hunting and is known as the Quail Capital of Texas.  Longhorn Valley in the Roughcreek area and the Double Mountains north of Rotan are just a couple of scenic areas to visit.

The Festival kicks off at 6:00 pm Thursday, October 18th with Gospel Entertainment, Steak Dinner with all the trimmings, Cake and Pie Contest, and live/silent Auction.
 The fun continues on Saturday, October 20th with food and fair vendors, 5K Walk / Run, and childrens' activities with several inflatable attractions.

The Cook-Off begins Friday night, October 19th with SERIOUS competitors starting their fires at midnight.

Cook-Off festivities continue on Saturday, October 20th at 6:00 am with all other competitors starting their fires.

 

Schedule - Thursday, October 18th
6:00 pm     Steak Dinner with entertainment by "Fourth Day", an excellent gospel singing group from the Sweetwater area

6:00 pm    Cake and Pie Contest with top entries offered in the live auction
6:00 pm - 8:00 pm  Silent Auction with a variety of wonderful items up for bid (<$100 value)

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm  Live Auction with 25+/- great items up for bid ($100 value and higher)

6:00 am     Bar-B-Que Cookoff - Bar-B-Quers light their fires
9:00 am     Festival Begins!

                    Free airplane rides for children ages 9 - 17 (with parents permission) by the Young American Eagles (ends at noon)
                    50' Obstacle Course
                    Giant 14' Double Slide
                    Giant 15' x 15' Bouncer
                    20' x 20' Dinosaur Discovery Center (climb, crawl, slide)
